🇪🇺 We are remote first, and based in Paris: you can work from anywhere in the European or the US timezones, and come anytime you want to the office. 💵 The provided compensation is a EU baseline – we adjust to the cost of living if higher than Paris. 👉 See the [full job description](https://jitter.notion.site/Senior-Full-Stack-Software-Engineer-86ee44261fdf42d8acc847d402e002f9?pvs=4). ## 🎯 Your core mission As a Senior Software Engineer, and one of the first team members: - You will contribute to building a **state-of-the-art** web-based motion design tool, combining the latest advances of browsers and server-side technologies with a unique product vision. - You will lead **impactful technical projects** to develop and consolidate our core technologies, and **learn along the way**: the Jitter editor (Typescript + React), the animation & rendering engines (Rust + Wasm + WebGL/WebGPU), the real-time & multiplayer engines (Elixir + NodeJS), the client and server-side exporters, the Community infrastructure (share & remix projects), the Figma plugin importer, and more. We do not expect you to know all of these, but you will pick up some as you take on new projects. - You will own your work from A to Z: from specifications, architecture, implementation, and delivery to the end-users, you will work **hand-in-hand** with your Engineering, Product, and Growth/Marketing teammates to ensure a world-class, polished experience for our users. - You will get **fast feedback** from our users and iterate quickly (we ship a new version of the app every week). You follow the usage of the product and make decisions based on that. - You will help craft the user experience, **push the product forward**, and ship new features and improvements on a weekly basis. - You will work within a **small team** composed of 10 passionate, friendly & committed folks who love to deliver like 40. - You will **learn and grow** with the team, and will have at heart to make your teammates grow through your experience, code reviews and knowledge sharing. ## 💪 Skills we're excited about - You master vanilla Javascript/Typescript, you can pick-up React & CSS easily, and you have experience working with AWS and large-scale serverless web applications. - You have worked or experimented with one of these standards (not required, but definitely a plus): Canvas, WebGL, WebGPU, WASM, WebCodecs, WebAudio, WebRTC, FFmpeg. - You love cracking down hard problems and coming up with creative solutions. - You love building clean interfaces to improve the user experience (little big things). - You can lead a complex project down to its delivery: coordinate the team members involved, communicate clearly on weekly updates, raise flags when unexpected things come up, make decisions, and review the plan when needed. - You enjoy learning and improving, as an individual and within a team.
