Position Summary

A sales position with two primary responsibilities: grow revenue from a base of existing accounts and generate new leads and new accounts through prospecting, qualifying and developing B2B Market leads. Position performs research from the internet, existing sales files and other resources to identify viable prospects capable of producing room revenue for the G6 Hospitality Brands (Motel 6 and Studio 6). Position will be responsible for a large base of national accounts and be responsible for growing revenue from these accounts to achieve established revenue goals. This position will support the growth of national and regional sales accounts.

In addition, this position will support specific market-based sales initiatives requiring support and/or research for local, in-bound sales as necessary. Activities required may include training and education for properties needing assistance with tradeshows or local sales (online/webinars, phone consults, in market sales calls, etc.).

Position will perform research on revenue opportunities from potential clients using defined sales parameters to determine the value of the opportunity for the brands. Position requires heavy sales calls via telephone, some outside sales calls and travel for trade shows. Overnight travel for sales calls, attendance at trade shows or training will be required at times (20%).

Position may spend time in an outside sales role representing the brands and creating awareness. Position requires effective communication skills, excellent

internet research skills and the ability to use independent judgment in regard to sales potential with external and internal clients. Position requires multi-tasking, intermediate sales skills combined with strong organization/time management skills. Candidate must be able to handle variety of duties and tasks with minimal supervision and effectively manage multiple priorities while generating revenue.

PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Daily communication with internal/external sales customers and prospects

Maintain accuracy of client files via Goldmine database

Develop spreadsheets and assist in compiling monthly/quarterly reports

Provide support and training to General Managers/ Owners in local markets that need assistance

Research leads and new client opportunities through internet prospecting sources

Visit external clients when necessary including overnight travel (up to 20%)

Perform outside sales calls and represent the brands attending trade shows as required

Qualify customers for B2B sales opportunities

Provide additional support and complete other projects for the department as required

Maintain and develop an assigned base of accounts

JOB REQUIRMENTS:

Exceptional written and oral communication skills

Intermediate selling skills and knowledge of B2B and Affinity Markets sales

Strong organizational/time management skills

Ability to handle multiple tasks and to work independently

Must be proficient in meeting deadlines

Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Goldmine

The ability for some overnight travel at times, up to 20% possible.

Minimum of 3 years of experience in a hotel sales office environment or equivalent
