The Florida Democratic Party (FDP) is seeking remote-based applications for an internship with the Party’s Director of Candidates and Campaign. Interns will be trained by Party staff and have opportunities to gain hands-on experience by supporting projects ranging from research and communications to event planning and coalition outreach.

This internship is geared toward providing training to those with an interest in working on campaigns in the future. Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

Responsibilities

Maintain digital infrastructure including Candidate Toolkit, further developing resources for candidates running in 2024
Facilitating virtual phone banks for grassroots volunteers
Collaborating with caucuses and committees across the state to support candidates
Assist Director of Candidates and Campaigns with research projects, programming, and other duties as assigned

Required Skills & Qualifications:

High level of personal responsibility.
Ability to work week nights and weekends as necessary.
Excellent writing and communication skills.
Ability to maintain calm and positive demeanor under pressure.
Ability to work well with others and respect opinions.
Close attention to detail.
Commitment to Democratic principles.
Previous campaign/political/organizing experience a plus.
Strong public speaking skills are preferred.

$15 - $15 an hour

Internship will run for 10 weeks beginning April 16, 2024. Interns will be required to set a part-time schedule at a minimum of 10-hours per week. Interns will earn $15/hr for up to 20 hours each week.
