About the opportunity

As Figment's Senior Accountant, Crypto, you'll own a broad range of responsibilities across our crypto accounting function, spanning digital asset revenue recognition, subledger integrity, and financial reporting across a multi-entity, multi-chain environment. This is a high-impact role focused on accelerating month-end close, driving AI-assisted automation, and ensuring audit-ready reporting as Figment's on-chain footprint grows. The ideal candidate brings hands-on experience with crypto-native accounting workflows and a strong foundation in accounting. You thrive in ambiguity, take initiative, and bring structure to complexity.

How you will make an impact

Own key digital assets month-end close activities across multiple Figment entities, including crypto subledger reconciliations per entity, wallet reconciliations, and management reporting deliverables, ensuring timely and accurate close
Investigate on-chain transactions and ensure all digital asset activity is accurately measured, classified, and recognized in accordance with applicable accounting standards
Drive AI-assisted automation across month-end close, including journal entry preparation and posting, reconciliation workflows, and per-chain analytics, applying sound accounting judgment to AI-generated outputs
Build and maintain granular management reporting, providing leadership with clear visibility into digital asset activity and key performance trends
Partner with Treasury, FP&A, Protocol, Data Science, and Risk teams to onboard new protocols, validate month-end data, and resolve discrepancies across the crypto accounting pipeline
Prepare accounting memos and audit-ready documentation, support financial statements and tax audits, including walkthroughs of crypto accounting processes
Support new product launches, accounts receivable function, entity-level reporting, and other crypto accounting projects and initiatives as Figment continues to scale

What you bring to the team

CPA designation or actively pursuing CPA certification
6+ years of progressive accounting experience with demonstrated ownership across the full accounting cycle
Strong knowledge of IFRS 15 and/or ASC 606, with demonstrated experience applying revenue recognition guidance in practice
Proven ability to reconcile high-volume data across multiple systems with exceptional accuracy and attention to detail
Track record of managing competing priorities and meeting deadlines independently in a fast-paced, remote environment
Experience using blockchain explorers (e.g., Etherscan, Solscan, Mintscan) to investigate and reconcile on-chain transactions

Bonus if you have

Hands-on experience with crypto accounting: token-denominated revenue, on-chain transaction flows, and digital asset subledger management
Experience in fintech, SaaS, or digital asset-native organizations such as staking providers, exchanges, custodians, or wallets
Experience with NetSuite or similar ERP systems and crypto subledger platforms such as Bitwave, Koinly, Cryptio
Familiarity with AI-assisted accounting or close automation workflows

Compensation

One of Figment’s core principles is “Making the Invisible Visible” - ensuring transparency and information sharing in all communication. Figment is committed to transparency regarding pay, benefits, and other compensation types for all internal roles as well as all roles being hired for.

Base Salary: The US base salary range for this position is USD $105,000 - $130,000. The CAD base salary range for this position is CAD $105,000 - $130,000.This range reflects base salary only, and does not include additional compensation, sales incentives or benefits.For candidates in other countries, the pay range will be disclosed upon your first interview with Figment (being a globally remote company, the list of salary ranges would simply be too long to note here!). The range displayed reflects the minimum and maximum range for a new hire across all Canada or the US. A candidate’s specific pay within the range will be determined by various factors including job-related skills, relevant education, and training.

At Figment, we try to go above and beyond in making sure that you have the best possible experience interviewing with us. We strive for a smooth, organized, and informative process.

During your first Recruiter Call, you will be provided with more information about Figment, the position and what to expect for the rest of the interview process. Please be prepared to discuss why you are interested in joining Figment and what excites you about the position and company.
As we go through the process, we work to make sure that you hear back from us in a timely fashion. If we decide at any point that we’re unfortunately not moving forward, we will give you feedback on why it was not a fit.
We aim for the entire process to take around 2-4 weeks from initial screen to offer. There can be exceptions on either side of the bell curve here, but as a rule, that’s the time-frame you can expect.
