Pioneers US is a dedicated ministry focused on sending field workers to reach unreached people groups worldwide. We are seeking a versatile Principal Software Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive expertise in full stack development, systems integration, and database design, and will be passionate about "solving problems with technology." This role also involves promoting Christian values and supporting the mission and vision of Pioneers US.

Qualifications:

10+ years of experience in IT, with a strong focus on full stack development, systems integration, and database design.
Skilled in multiple programming languages, technologies, and frameworks such as .NET, C#, SQL, T-SQL, PHP, TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, etc.)
Proficient in on-premises and cloud services, and systems integration techniques.
Experience with RESTful APIs.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
Excellent project management and organizational skills.
Experience working in or with ministry organizations.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Experience with data analytics and reporting tools like Power BI, SSRS, Google Analytics.
Ability to manage technical infrastructure, including server, database, and network administration.
Must be able to lift 35+ pounds and work in various locations, including in loud lobbies and outdoors.

Key Responsibilities:

Solution Development and Technical Problem Solving:

Act as a versatile problem-solver, addressing a wide range of IT challenges.
Architect, develop, test, and maintain IT solutions tailored to the organization’s needs.
Provide unbiased recommendations for platforms, services, or custom solutions.

Implement version control practices.

Systems Integration:

Architect and implement integration solutions between various systems and applications.
Utilize RESTful APIs, middleware, and other technologies for seamless data flow.
Troubleshoot and resolve integration issues promptly.

Database Design and Data Analysis:

Design and manage databases to support various organizational needs.
Implement reporting solutions for actionable insights.
Conduct data analysis to support strategic initiatives and operational efficiency.

Project Management:

Lead and manage IT projects from conception to completion.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and develop project plans.
Monitor project progress, manage risks, and update stakeholders.
A self-starter with the natural inclination to maintain a high work output with minimal supervision.

Support for Field Workers, Appointees, and Applicants:

Develop and maintain IT solutions supporting field workers, appointees, and applicants.
Ensure systems are reliable and accessible globally.
Provide remote technical support and training.

Workflow Adaptation:

Work with users to adapt workflows to existing systems or enhance utilization of current IT capabilities.
Educate staff on maximizing existing technologies.
Offer constructive feedback on workflow improvements.

Promote Christian Values:

Uphold and promote Christian values in all work aspects.
Support the mission and vision of Pioneers US through IT solutions that facilitate spreading the Gospel.

Team Collaboration:

Perform duties outside normal scope as needed, including systems administration, disaster recovery, and help desk tasks.
Mentor and guide junior developers and IT team members.

Hybrid work environment: Must be willing to come in person to the Orlando office several days per week.
