Head of Distribution

The Head of Distribution will report directly to the Chief Operating Officer and play a pivotal role in driving profitable growth across all distribution channels. The successful candidate will translate corporate strategy into actionable distribution plans, ensuring products reach the target audience efficiently and cost-effectively, while enhancing overall industry relationships and customer experience.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and execute distribution strategies to drive revenue growth across multiple customer segments.
Identify and manage strategic partnerships to support business growth and channel diversification.
Lead and optimise traditional and digital distribution channels to maximise sales opportunities.
Manage and develop distribution teams, setting KPIs and driving high performance.
Collaborate with Marketing, Product Development, Underwriting, Finance, IT, CX and other stakeholders to achieve business objectives.
Analyse sales performance, profitability, market trends and channel effectiveness to inform strategic decisions.
Strengthen relationships with key clients, brokers, agents and business partners.
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, risk management standards, and customer experience expectations.
Report on distribution performance, growth initiatives and profitability to senior leadership and the Board.

Requirements

10+ years' experience in insurance distribution, sales leadership, business development or commercial strategy.
Proven success in managing revenue growth and multi-channel distribution strategies.
Strong commercial acumen with the ability to analyse performance, profitability and market opportunities.
Excellent leadership, stakeholder management, negotiation and relationship-building skills.
Knowledge of insurance products, underwriting principles and insurance economics is advantageous.
Customer-focused, innovative and resilient, with excellent communication and influencing skills.
