Corrily is building price optimization as a service. Our clients use us to dynamically find the best price and discounts to show their users.A student in a campus in Russia will not have the same willingness and capacity to pay as a senior engineer in San-Francisco, and we believe that showing them the same price is suboptimal. By adjusting prices and discounts, we are able to open up more services to more people. Companies benefit from higher revenues, and a wider audience gains access to otherwise too expensive services.We're made of ex-quants and portfolio manager, both raised in leftist families. We brought this duplicity to the company. We're a weird mix of Marx and Hayek.With both founders being technical, we're very product-focused and fiercely independent. We value people who are self-starters, understand a subject matter, run with it and own the outcome.

About the role

Corrily helps subscription companies show different prices to different users to help them find what the best price is.

Our customers include household names like: Linktree, IFTTT, Skillshare and ISSUU among others.

We are on the lookout for a seasoned Data Engineer to join us and help us build out our analytics pipelines. The pipelines:

Pull data from billing platforms (Stripe, Chargebee, Recurly,...) using a mixture of Airbyte and webhook event handling code written in Python
Merge this data with Corrily's data
Derive analytics (similar to Chartmogul's)

Knowledge of SQL, dbt, and Python is required. We work on Google's cloud (i.e. we use BigQuery).

Technology

Our optimizer is a mix of different ML flavours that is in continuous flux. Currently we're using a Bayesian optimizer across willingness to pay surfaces based on generalized additive models. ML is omnipresent as we expand into projects like: ML-driven scraping of prices and company-level embeddings to discover competitors.Our biggest engineering challenges are about how to serve models quickly, have our API near to the end-user and have it be aware of whether they have seen a set of prices or not. We are expanding our capacities to process increasingly large amounts of data and need quick prototyping on new services.
