Are you a hands-on Quant Developer or Quant Engineer with a deep understanding of financial instruments and a strong background in C# development?Join our Quantitative Engineering team, part of the COO function, and play a key role in developing systematic, quantitative investment and risk solutions across asset classes and liabilities.

The team builds andmaintains core modelling infrastructure that supports investment decision-making, risk analytics, and regulatory reporting across a broad range of financial instruments and liabilities — including interest rates, FX, credit, derivatives, annuities, and reinsurance.You’ll also play a part in shaping the future direction of our modelling capabilities—including potential AI-driven innovations.

What You'll Be Doing

Collaborate with quantitative analysts, actuaries, and developers to design and enhance risk and investment models

Translate complex Excel-based models into robust, maintainable production code using C#

Build andmaintain core pricing and valuation libraries for interest rates, FX, credit, derivatives, annuities, and reinsurance

Onboard new investment strategies, annuity products and instruments into modelling and risk platforms

Develop assistive tools to support actuarial modelling,ALM hedge strategies, and internal trade support

Participate in peer reviews, production support, and continuous improvement of development practices

Investigate the application of AI/ML for modelling efficiency, anomaly detection, and enhanced user tooling (e.g., Excel-integrated chatbots)

Contribute to shaping the way we integrate with third-party platforms such as State Street

About You

We’re looking for someone who thrives in a hybrid environment of quantitative rigour and software engineering excellence.

Your Background Includes:

5–7 years in software/platform development with strong delivery ownership

Practical understanding of banking or asset management, particularly risk and pricing systems

Technical Skills Required:

StrongC#/.NET (Framework 4.8 and Core) with experience in LINQ, Entity Framework, and RESTful APIs

Familiarity withC++ for performance-critical or legacy pricing components

Exposure toPython for prototyping, data analysis, or AI experimentation

Experience usingGit,NUnit/xUnit, and CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Azure DevOps)

Solid understanding ofSQL Server/PostgreSQL and performant data handling

Experience designing, building, or extending RESTful APIs. Particularly those exposing pricing or risk models

Experience with Snowflake or similar cloud data warehousing platforms preferred

Domain Skills:

Strong knowledge of financial instruments and quantitative models

Understanding of market risk, fixed income, and/or actuarial modelling highly regarded

AI/ML interest or experience a plus (e.g., in anomaly detection, optimisation, or documentation assistants)

Qualifications

Bachelor in Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Engineering, or related field

Postgraduate qualification or actuarial training (advantageous)

Agilecertification (advantageous)
