Job Title: Housing Support Worker (temp agency)

Location: Ealing/Brent and Barnet areas of London

Salary: £13 per hour includes holidays pay

Shift Pattern: Mon-Fri 9am-5.30pm

Swift Healthcare Staffing Solutions LTD is seeking compassionate and dedicated Housing Support Workers to join our team. In this vital role, you will support individuals facing housing challenges, helping them regain their independence and stability. You will work closely with clients to provide practical assistance and emotional support, ensuring they have access to the resources they need.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide Practical Support: Offer day-to-day support to clients who are experiencing housing difficulties, helping them maintain stable accommodation and access services.
Support Independence: Assist clients with budgeting, claiming benefits, managing tenancies, and developing life skills to live independently.
Case Management: Carry out needs assessments and create individual support plans tailored to each client's specific needs.
Advocacy: Act as an advocate for clients, ensuring they have access to the services and support they require, including liaising with landlords, local authorities, and other support agencies.
Crisis Intervention: Provide emotional and practical support during crises, helping clients navigate challenges and avoid homelessness.
Maintain Records: Keep accurate records of client interactions, progress, and outcomes, following up on actions and ensuring compliance with relevant policies and procedures.

Qualifications and Experience:

Experience in housing support or a related field is preferred.
Knowledge of housing laws, benefits, and community resources.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Demonstrated empathy and a non-judgmental attitude towards clients.
Proficient in using IT systems for reporting and maintaining records.
