This newly created company position will lead our field and remote service teams to exciting levels of growth and customer support. The Service Manager will be based out of our Eugene, Oregon or Nashville, Tennessee facilities. Relocation is not required, as you will spend the majority of your working time in the field with our service teams.

Reporting to the Vice President, BHS Service, the Service Manager will lead the Technical and Field Service departments through the planning, management and execution processes. The Service Manager will work with the other key BHS departments to provide input and expertise on Parts and Service with current and potential customers to support overall company business objectives. Ensures the Services staff are trained and execute company policies and best practices for: warranty and contingency support, service orders, preventative maintenance programs, project installations, commissioning, optimizations, training, equipment audits and upgrades.

Key Responsibilities:

Execution of parts and service plans and strategies that are aligned with overall corporate plans
Responsible for providing guidance, performance, accountability, management, training and development of the Field Service Technicians (FST’s) and Technical Service Engineers (TSE’s)
Account Management responsibilities of 30+ key accounts
Maintain records and document trends with regards to sales, revenue, and margin
Responsible for execution of service proposals
Improve and manage costs and pricing service orders
Set and maintain after sales rates, policies, and standards
Meets customers on a regular basis to ensure complete awareness of BHS overall solutions and services
Provides superior customer service to all internal and external customers
Contributes to company financial objectives by identifying cost reductions, materials reduction, team efficiencies, etc. and will lead P&Ls for service, parts and warranty business
Recommends to Vice President, the personnel decisions of group members as needed by working closely with the HR Department
Drive sales for BHS Parts and Service to customers with BHS installed equipment directly and through a team of inside and outside sales and service technicians
All other duties as assigned

Qualifications and Skills:

A minimum of ten (10) years of experience in manufacturing, or service managementor
Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, facilities management, technology, operations or equivalent field with five (5) years of experience in manufacturing, or service management
Must have strong communication and leadership skills
Proven experience in interpreting and usage of engineering drawings and applications (AutoCAD, Inventor, Solidworks, etc.)
Proven experience of “hands on” work with mechanical equipment, technology, processing systems, sorting equipment or manufacturing
Demonstrated ability to interact and work cross-functionally with all teams in the company
Must be organized, analytical and tactical
Strong general understanding of mechanical, engineering, technology and system applications
Proven track record in managing and developing strong customer relationships
Excellent organizational, team and project leadership skills required
Proficient with Microsoft Office and data reporting
Working knowledge of inside/outside sales and account management
Experience in training and development of employees
