Senior Backend Engineer

What we're looking for:

You have a minimum of 4 years of professional backend development experience, with a focus on building robust and scalable services with NodeJS and NestJS.
Working knowledge of Google Cloud and observability tools is a must for this role.
You're skilled in managing and integrating APIs (REST, HTTP, JSON, etc.)
You understand the importance of security and have hands-on experience with SSO, SAML, and OIDC protocols.
CI/CD isn't just a concept for you. You're proficient with Github Actions and Google Cloud for deploying updates and fixes.
Experience with large language models (e.g. OpenAI, Anthropic, etc) and deploying them to production is a plus.
Solid computer science fundamentals back your understanding of architecture and design patterns.
You're comfortable navigating the uncertainty of a startup environment, making sound decisions even with incomplete information.
You have experience building systems with a focus on performance and scalability, understanding the needs of a growing user base.
Your communication skills are top-notch, allowing you to articulate technical issues clearly to non-technical individuals.
Test-driven development (TDD) is a practice you understand and value for maintaining high code quality.
You are familiar with the concept of "technical debt" and appreciate the importance of making tough decisions now for long-term benefits.
You're proactive in identifying inefficiencies and suggesting changes, even if it means challenging existing norms.
You have a commitment to continuous learning and keep up-to-date with the latest technologies, frameworks, and practices in backend development.
You maintain a user-centric mindset, understanding that your work in the backend directly influences the user experience.
