The Role

Strategic Leadership

Develop and implement the company’s strategic plan to achieve business objectives and long-term sustainability.
Identify new business opportunities, partnerships, and revenue streams within the FSI sector and others.
Lead market expansion efforts while ensuring compliance with industry regulations.
Align business goals with regulatory expectations and emerging market trends.

Operational Excellence

Oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring efficiency, scalability, and adherence to best practices.
Ensure strong governance, compliance, and risk management frameworks are embedded in all business processes.
Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and financial metrics, taking corrective actions when necessary.

Leadership

Foster a strong risk and compliance culture across the organization.
Implement talent development and succession planning initiatives.
Lead with integrity and promoting ethical decision-making

Stakeholder Management

Maintain strong relationships with investors, clients and the regulator
Represent the company at industry events and forums (Please note, this role may involve travelling to events.)

Key Qualifications & Experience

Essential:

Proven experience as a General Manager, Managing Director, or senior leadership role within the Financial Services Industry
Experience in the fintech and payments industries, with a particular focus on commercial cards or supply chain financing
Strong understanding of FCA regulations, compliance, and risk management frameworks.
Experience in strategic planning, business development, and operational management.
Demonstrated ability to lead and scale financial services businesses in a regulated environment.
Excellent stakeholder management, negotiation, and communication skills.
Strong financial acumen with a track record of delivering growth and profitability.
Exceptional at communicating and collaborating with cross-functional teams, while fostering a culture of trust and teamwork.

Desirable:

Familiarity with emerging regulatory trends in financial services.
Experience of leading/ being involved in audits.
