The Role

As anOperations Associate, you will play a key role in building a culture of operational discipline within Arta by managing the core operational processes which power the end-to-end user journey of our clients. This includes client onboarding, deposits/withdrawals, trading across all our asset classes and monitoring of account activity. In doing so, you will collaborate with both internal (Customer Success, Product, Compliance, Engineering) and external (broker-dealers, fund managers) stakeholders.

The ideal candidate should be an advocate for the user experience of our customers, have an innate curiosity to understand how things work behind-the-scenes and a strong drive for improving processes.

What You Will Do

Own and execute the critical operational processes that power our platform, in the areas of public and private market investments (e.g. buy/sell trades, reconciliation, corporate actions, capital calls, NAV updates), customer onboarding and risk assessment, account management, and money transfers.
Collaborate with our Operations, Member Success, Product, Compliance and Engineering teams to:
- Anticipate future business needs;
- Brainstorm workflows and edge cases to operationalize new products; and
- Enhance key processes while considering implications such as cost, implementation complexity, regulatory compliance and other relevant risks.
Coordinate the efforts of internal and external partners to investigate operational issues and implement preventive measures.
Create data reporting workflows to track key operational metrics and manage regulatory reporting obligations.

Who You Are

3-4+ years of business operations experience in financial services, ideally in the investments space handling a mix of asset classes.
Have experience designing and implementing end-to-end operational processes with appropriate controls.
Technical problem-solving skills: Enjoy diving into root causes and breaking down complex problems
You thrive in a startup-like environment where not everything is black and white. You are comfortable adapting to evolving priorities, navigating ambiguous and complex problem spaces, running experiments, and staying optimistic through change.
Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
Bonus: Proficiency with SQL, Excel and setting up AI workflows.
Location: Ideally you are based in the Bay Area but we are open to remote candidates if you have strong experience. (Ideally, west-coast time zone)

Arta’s compensation philosophy

We determine your salary based on factors including your interview performance, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Our offers are based on salary bands that are updated periodically using market benchmarks and consider geographic location as well (for example, higher cost regions like San Francisco or New York). If you are presented with an offer, we will review the base salary, benefits, number of options, notional option value and strike price. We would like to know if you accept our offer within 7 days.

Please keep in mind that the equity portion of your offer is not included in these numbers and represents a substantial part of your total compensation.

IC I: $110,000-$180,000

IC II: $160,000-$230,000
