We are seeking a Founding Engineer to join the Arc family. As one of the first technical hires in this exciting venture, you'll design, implement and deliver frontend and backend features, and ideate and execute its architecture. You will work directly alongside the CEO (Don Muir, Stanford GSB) and CTO (Raven Jiang, Stanford CS) to help Arc reinvent startup financing through technology.

Can you imagine if startups had access to instant credit the same way consumers can quickly finance their Peloton purchases through Affirm? Arc provides software companies with fast and non-dilutive growth capital, delivered through a seamless consumerized enterprise technology experience.

Our tech solution and proprietary underwriting model enable us to deliver capital to SaaS founders more quickly and cheaply than legacy offline products, helping founders keep more of the business they built by minimizing dilution. We launched our product in November with an initial $150M fund and have since grown more than 100% MoM in monthly transaction volume.

Our team of experienced operators comes from Facebook, LinkedIn and Brex and we are backed by awesome seed-stage VCs, including Y Combinator, NFX, Bain Capital Ventures and Clocktower Technology Ventures.

We are seeking Software Engineers to join the Arc family. As a member of the technical team, you'll work alongside the CTO to design, architect and implement both frontend and backend features that are critical to automating our business.

Technology

You'll be building a beautiful, performant web-app for our customers to have a seamless financing experience. You'll also contribute in building the Backoffice app we use internally to manage operations. All covered by tests. Untested code is broken code.

You'll be making important architectural decisions and implementing them alongside Arc CTO and Technical Co-Founder, Raven Jiang.

We believe motivated, experienced developers paired with hungry, brilliant junior engineers is a recipe for success. You'll be mentoring 1-2 junior developers and helping them reach their full potential.

Interview Process

Initial call Conversation with the recruiter or cofounder to learn more about the company and explore a potential fit.
One technical phone screen 50-minute phone interview that involves a coding exercise.
On-site with 3 more technical interviews and other one-on-ones We typically bring final round candidates on-site where they can get the opportunity to experience the culture and meet other non-technical members of the company. There will also be 3 additional technical interviews, including 1 architectural and 2 coding.
