Job Summary:

A global FinTech company is looking for an experienced and results- driven KYC Team Lead to join a growing KYC department. As the Team Lead, you will take charge of overseeing the KYC team’s operations, ensuring that due diligence procedures are consistently executed with precision, efficiency, and full regulatory compliance. You will play a critical role in managing day-to-day workflows, developing and motivating team members, and driving both performance and process improvements. Additionally, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to mitigate risks during customer onboarding and contribute to shaping the company’s overall KYC strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead, mentor, and support a high-performing team of KYC analysts. Provide regular performance feedback and guidance while promoting a culture of continuous improvement, motivation, and a sense of ownership in the team’s success.
Ensure all KYC operations adhere to regulatory standards, internal policies, and industry best practices. Stay informed on both regulatory and internal policy changes, proactively guiding the team to adapt processes and keep their knowledge current.
Supervise the execution of KYC due diligence on both new and existing clients, ensuring that all necessary checks are completed in line with compliance and regulatory standards.
Regularly review and refine KYC workflows and procedures to enhance operational efficiency, minimize bottlenecks, and ensure a seamless client onboarding experience.
Evaluate high-risk client profiles, including complex cases, and escalate to senior management when appropriate. Ensure robust risk mitigation strategies are applied throughout the KYC process.
Work closely with key internal stakeholders, such as the Compliance, Risk, Legal, and Operations teams, to ensure alignment and address concerns.
Prepare and present detailed reports on KYC activities, team performance, and key metrics. Assist with audits, providing accurate and timely documentation related to KYC procedures.

Qualifications & Skills:

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Law, or a related field.
Minimum 2 years of experience in KYC or compliance in a leadership or supervisory role.
Proven ability to lead, mentor, and develop high-performing teams.
Strong knowledge of compliance regulations and standards, with the ability to apply them in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Strong analytical abilities, a keen attention to detail, and excellent organizational skills, with a proven capacity to identify and resolve complex issues efficiently.
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels across the organization.
