Our multidisciplinary team combines deep domain expertise with sensor data and advanced algorithms to deliver critical decision support. We help operators optimise offshore drilling operations, improve safety, and reduce downtime.

Within 4Subsea, the Drilling Monitoring department develops and delivers solutions for subsea structural integrity monitoring in the offshore drilling market. Due to increased activity, we are now looking for a skilled and passionate Software Developer to strengthen our team.

Responsibilities

As a Software Developer in the Drilling Monitoring department, you will contribute to the development and delivery of next-generation digital services. Your responsibilities will include:

Working hands-on as a software developer in a small development team, contributing to products such as the Riser Monitoring System (RMS) and Subsea Well Integrity Monitoring (SWIM™)
Collaborating closely with the Tech Lead and product owners to shape the vision, structure, and implementation of Drilling Monitoring products
Contributing to the design and evolution of software architecture for both cloud-based and distributed systems
Sharing knowledge and best practices within the team, and supporting onboarding and mentoring of new developers when needed
Developing new features and improving existing functionality in RMS and SWIM™
Participating in technical discussions, code reviews, and continuous improvement of development processes

Requirements

Experience with Python in web development
Familiarity with cloud platforms (preferably Azure)
A genuine interest in building software products used in engineering- or data-driven environments
Understanding of software development principles such as version control, testing, and clean code
Interest in or experience with data analytics and visualization (e.g. pandas and plotting libraries)
Experience with and interest in offshore subsea drilling operations is an advantage
